Seeking Your Ideas on Student Success and Creative Ownership in North Minneapolis

Today, the Foundation has released two separate “Calls for Ideas and Proposals”

PLEASE NOTIFY anyone and everyone who may be interested in either of these two areas or those who are doing work in either area.

With these calls, we are asking for innovative ideas and your best thinking to accomplish these two brand new areas of focus for the Foundation.  Since early this year, we have been engaged in a process to learn more about the needs and dreams of residents, students, parents, business owners, and leaders who live and work in North Minneapolis. This process has led us to these two funding opportunities.

Proposals will be due by end of the day on Monday, September 26, 2016

Please review the “Calls for Ideas and Proposals” to learn more.  You may also attend one of two information sessions where staff will be available to answer questions and respond to your ideas.  These will be held:

  • Tuesday September 13, 5:30 – 6:30 PM @ Emerge Career and Technology Center- Phillips Room- 1834 Emerson Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN  55411 (optional one-on-one time from 6:30-7:30 PM)
  • Wednesday September 14, 9:30 – 10:30 AM @ North Regional Library – South Half Meeting Room – 1315 Lowry Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411 (optional one-on-one time from 10:30 – 11:30 AM)

Foundation staff will also be available by phone during regular business hours, and will be onsite at Avenue Eatery (1101 W. Broadway Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55411) at various times for drop-in conversations.  Information about these opportunities is included in the “Call” documents.

Please click here for a pdf of the detailed instructions on how to submit your proposal.

We are grateful to all of those in the community who helped us get to this point.  We look forward to continuing our relationship for many years to come.
